Emily and I headed down to Grandma and Grandpa Kerr's house over the weekend (Dave had to stay and work, so it was the first time since we got married that we spent a night apart...it was sad). Emily had a blast with my mom's dog, Hunter, and Ryan and Kristi's cat, Vinnie (I don't think Vinnie liked her as much as she liked him-I kept having to stop her from pulling out his fur, which she thought was hilarious). It was a fun, quick trip, but we were both so happy to see Dave when we got home!

Warm Weather and Girls' Night
It wasn't until this month that we have had truly warm weather. Since Emily was born right at the beginning of winter, this has been her first real chance to go outside. She loves the grass!
Dave is full-time again at Los Hermanos, so when he works nights, Emily and I get to have our girls' nights. They mostly just consist of bath time and reading books, but we still have a pretty good time.
Lots of Firsts!
There have been a lot of first time things for Emily this month. She has started to crawl really well, pulls herself up to the standing (on everything!), cut her first tooth, went on a plane for the first time, and there are probably more things, but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Emily didn't pay much attention to Kali (Kali slept a lot), but seeing her made me realize how much Emily really has grown in such a short time. Since I see her everyday I guess I hadn't realized how big she had gotten, but Kali brought it all into
perspective.
We went to Washington at the beginning of the month to visit Nancy and her family for their new little girl, Kali's, baby blessing. Since it was a very quick trip (just 3 days), we decided to fly. Emily loved her first plane ride! She slept in the very beginning, but was awake most of the flight. Luckily, she was her normal self and was pretty happy.
The weekend was great! Emily had tons of fun with her cousins, and Dave and I enjoyed not being stressed from school or work. Grandma and Grandpa Kerr were there too, and Emily sure had a good time playing with them.

BYU Blue and White Game
We went to the BYU Blue and White game (yes, we are die-hard BYU fans) on the first really nice day of Spring. We made sure that Emily was completely covered so she wouldn't get sun-burned, but we completely forgot about ourselves. When the game ended, Dave and I were burned-but only on the side the sun was on! Needless to say, we looked a little funny for a couple of days.
Easter...a little late
We went up to Aaron and Stephanie's for Easter dinner, and Garrett made Emily laugh so hard that she had tears in her eyes. (Pause the music, and trust me, she really is laughing).

Going to see Daddy at Work

Dave has been managing at Los Hermanos again, and since it is less than 10 blocks from our house, Emily and I frequently take walks down to the restaurant to visit. When it is colder than normal, she has to be bundled up in her blanket and hat, but she doesn't mind as long as we can be outside. She has become the Los Hermanos mascot-all of the servers and kitchen staff know her and ask to hold her whenever we go in.
